Title: Freeze sequencer
Post by: edteneyck on Jun 04, 2026, 11:02 PM
I'm loving PD guitar and had an idea for the suggestion box:

A freeze sequencer that would hold the played note/chord for a period of time allowing the user to solo over the top of it. Perhaps something like a grid where you click to add a boxes in a sequencer timeline and drag the end of them to the desired freeze duration, so the user could create custom timed freezes either to synced tempo or set BPM.

Just an idea!

Hi Ed,
RThanks for the feedback!
There are several things that allow simular outcomes allready:
- in REMOTE tab you can assign the HOLD for the SHAPER to a MIDI CC. You only want the sound at the time of press, so you turn RETRIGGER to the right, adjust GRABTIME to prevent noise coming in the hold signal.
- in REMOTE tab you can assign a MIDI pedal to DELAY SEND. Set the DELAY to the number of repeats and turn the FEEDBACK to 0.
- The LFO can automate most of above type functions (instead of MIDI CC, the LFO is chosen for control input)

I'm aware that it all isnt exactly what you most likely are looking for: there is a ceiling to the amount of functions I can add in SG as it is.
The coming BETA will have lots of extra stuff soundwise, I'll have a nights sleep about your idea.
